Dear Drabble Writer...
Jun. 20th, 2018 12:06 pm Hello!
Thank you so much for participating in this fun exchange. Or at least I think it will be fun? The challenging word limits might have me questioning my exchange choices, but I don't think so!

So here are some general things I like, not all of which are suitable for drabbles:
I do not want..
passivity, first-person narration, incest, non-con, non-canon slash, porn without plot, child death or grevious injury, dog death, and misusing the words less and fewer.
See, I told you I was mostly easy. I will love any story you write for me. I am open to sequences and also to double and triple drabbles. I am not entirely sure how to prompt for drabbles, because it seems like I could easily exceed a Drabble word count, just when describing a prompt.
So here are some general things I like, not all of which are suitable for drabbles:
A natural or manmade disaster strikes and characters must work together to save themselves and others
AU - The Zombie Apocalypse strikes - what is life like and how do the characters manage?
Wacky roadtrip, a la "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles"
Character backstories - I love a good backstory!
The road not taken...what happens when a character makes a different decision than in canon. How does the story (and more importantly, the character) change as a result of the decision.
First times - first kisses, first loves, first day of school/prison/the army/whatever
5+1 (As in Five times X happened and 1 time it didn't) is a tried and true format - I'd eat any 5+1 with a spoon. (And it doesn't have to be 5 +1, it could be 3 or 7 or whatever works for you.)
Song fic - I don't even need to know the song. (But if you're a fan of The National, you literally cannot go wrong with any of their songs.)
Crossovers - I love crossovers like Whoa! They are seriously my favourite fandom genre. I would be delighted to see crossovers between any of my requests or with any of these fandoms: Friday Night Lights, Supernatural, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Good Place, My So-Called Life, Homeland (although I'm only current to season 5), Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black, Sons of Anarchy, or Leverage.
And here is what I love about each of my fandoms:
Rogue One: Quite simply, I think this is the best Star Wars movie in the franchise. It has everything - a sassy robot, a strong heroine, Darth Vader, a hilarious married couple (Baze and Chirrut, of course!), and so much adventure and such high stakes and oh I am getting woozy just thinking of it all.
Star Wars Original Trilogy: Leia, Leia, Leia, Leia, Leia. I also love Han and Chewie.
Star Wars Sequel Trilogy: See Star Wars Original Trilogy.
Seriously though....These movies are my first fannish obsession, and Princess Leia was always one of my favorites. I'd love a character study. I'd love a glimpse inside her head after Alderan was destroyed. I'd love future fic of her as a new mom, trying to juggle a baby and her responsibilities as a leader. How does she parent without parents to guide her? She clearly has the Force, why doesn't she pursue it? It'd pretty much love anything Leia-centric.
Billions: I am only current through Season 2, but goodness how I love the show. I love the moral ambiguity of it - how no one is the good guy and plenty of people are the bad guys. I am so interested in Taylor and understand they have a bigger role in S3, which I am very much looking forward to.
Stranger Things - I totally ship Hopper and Joyce. I love the kids and the way they're kids, and especially the way Steve ended up as their babysitter/friend. loved this show so much (total nostalgia addiction - it just felt like putting on my favorite sweater), I would be happy for any opportunity to spend more time in its world.
Hamlet - A play that both intrigues and infuriates me. Hamlet's inability to act vexes me in ways that I cannot really articulate.
Sons of Anarchy - I love the first season of this show most of all, before it went off the rails and floundered in complicated and bloody plot devices. Jax, Chibs, Opie - I loved the relationships and how Jax was trying to change things. (See Hamlet.)
Anyway, if you've read this far, good luck and don't fret - it's only 100 words!
