isisizabel I decided to quit screwing around and do it.

“Whose blood is that?”

“Someone else’s.” Jax kissed her cheek, an unspoken apology.

Tara sighed. He tried to force a reassuring smile, but his lips wouldn’t co-operate. He’d always wondered why they were called old ladies. Now he knew. He could see every night he didn’t come home etched in the lines on her face.

Jax tried to tell himself that she knew what she was getting herself into. Love and worry were a package deal. But she hadn’t signed on for this: his one-man revolution.

Change only comes bloody. At least this time, it wasn’t his blood.
