Dear Yuletide Writer,

On the off-chance that you're stopping by here to spy check for further details, I figured I'd leave a note.

I'm not a big stickler for canon. I'm cool with AU. I'm fine with fudging a few details to get your story to fall into place. The big thing to me is characterization. As long as the everyone is in character, I'm a happy camper. If I read something and can hear the character's voice in my head, then it's all awesomeness.

POV and verb tense and all the other constructs are completely fine with me. If you want to go all crazy cross-over-y, I'm cool with that (and I love Supernatural). I'm quite happy to read smut, maybe because I'm so completely incapable of writing it.

So, my requests....

Friday Night Lights - I love all the characters on this show (except, obviously, the mustache-twirling Joe McCoy and his newly obnox-ified son), so you pretty much can't go wrong. Tim Riggins in my favorite but I'm not a huge fan of Tim and Lyla. I've always been curious about the whereabouts of Mama Riggins. Tim/Tyra is fascinating to me, like watching a horrible train wreck. And of course, I love Coach and Tami. I'm watching S4, so you can assume that I'm current on all episodes. (Although I'm usually a day behind.)

Sons of Anarchy - This is another one where you really can't go wrong - any character would make me happy. I do love Jax and I am so very curious about what his and Tara's high school relationship would have been like. (Boy with a temper like that in his early 30s, imagine what he must have been like as a teenager.) Also, I'm fascinated with Chibbs and Fiona. She's the most exotic-looking Irish person I've ever seen. (And why is she one of three women who scare Gemma?)

True Blood - I'm afraid I'm a bit more fussy about True Blood than about other things. I do not like Bill Compton. Not at all, not one little bit. Everyone else is fine (although the whole Maryann thing was boring and annoying). Eric is my favorite. If you want to blur the lines between the books and the TV show, you can do that. I've read up to From Dead to Worse them all now, actually.

Mad Men - I've never actually read a Mad Men fic, so this would be the first and best, I guess. :) I love Sal and really wonder what's happening to him. I'm also a big fan of Roger and Joanie. I'm really looking forward to next season, so if you wanted to set your story then, that would be great.

So, I think that's everything. Really, I'm easy and looking forward to whatever you come up with. Thanks. :)

Now, I have to get to work on my own story. Yikes. Totally giving me heart palpitations. Of course the match was something I've never written before. What was I thinking? Oh, yeah, I was thinking about being adventurous and trying new things. That's what I was thinking. Might have to rethink that philosophy in the future.

No, it's an organized story-writing thing - http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/. I signed up and now I have to write a story for someone and someone else is writing a story for me.
