Thank you so much for signing up for Yuletide and offering to write my favourite fandom. You, truly, are a pal.
I am pretty easy. Write a story that you enjoy writing and I'm sure I'll love it and enjoy reading it. In an effort to help, I'll tell you my general likes/dislikes and also give a few prompts for the requested fandoms.
But above all, I want you to have fun. I offer these suggestions in the hopes that one might be a life raft that carries you out of the choppy seas of uncertainty and toward a spectacular island of fic writing bliss. If you find that the suggestions feel like lead weights that are dragging you under, then cast them off and write a story that interests you. True passion shines through and makes a story special.

angst, UST, longing looks, long-repressed feelings that explode one day, kid fic, teamy goodness, well-done hurt/comfort, AUs, roads not taken in canon, zombies, wacky road trips, old friends, handsome strangers, cross-overs (Leverage, SPN up to S5, Veronica Mars, Jericho), crazy decisions that are right even though they seem so very wrong, 2nd person narratives, porn that reveals more than just naked bodies, unreliable narrators, opening your presents on Christmas Day rather than Christmas Eve, and long deep slow kisses that last three days.
I don't like...
passivity, first-person narration, incest, non-con, non-canon slash, porn without plot, and misusing the words less and fewer.

Friday Night Lights - I love Tim Riggins, especially angry S1 Tim. Not so keen on Tim/Lyla but I do love the Tim/Tyra trainwreck and am intrigued by the Tim/Julie combo. I love Billy Riggins and am always interested in the boys' pre-canon life. I also love the Taylors. How did Eric and Tami meet? What happens to Julie after S5? I love Matt Saracen and his Grandma. As I read this back, I'm not seeing much in the way of promptage. I think it's because I love the show, but it's been slipping away from me since it ended. Anything you could do to bring it back will be much appreciated.
Sons of Anarchy - I'd love to know what happened in the 14 months that most of the club were in prison. In my head, I see Margaret being an unexpected ally for Tara and really stepping up and helping her. I'd also love a birth story for Thomas, nothing graphic, but Gemma being nursemaid and birthing partner seems ripe for comedy and pathos. I'm also a sucker for backstory and would love to know more about pretty much any of the characters. I do love Jax and I am so very curious about what his and Tara's high school relationship would have been like. (Boy with a temper like that in his early 30s, imagine what he must have been like as a teenager.) Also, I'm fascinated with Chibbs and Fiona. She's the most exotic-looking Irish person I've ever seen. (And why is she one of three women who scare Gemma?) I also wonder sometimes about Unser and Gemma - there's a lot of history there. And what's the deal with Lincoln Potter?
Saving Grace - I always shipped Grace and Ham, particularly self-destructive!Grace and emo-caring-but-still-super-sexy-Ham. (And how about when the tables were reversed when Ham went off the rails?) I suppose my number 1 wish for this fandom would be an AU where things end differently. Back stories are awesome. Earl goes t-shirt shopping is an interesting premise. Would love a glimpse into the life of Rhetta and Grace when they were teenagers. I realize my other shows have more thoughts but don't think that means I love Grace any less. Would also enjoy anything that resembled the teamy goodness of casefic and bonus points if it involved pranks. :)
So, I think that's everything. In the end, write a story that speaks to you and I know I will love it. Personality and heart go a long way with me.
