I am so happy that you're participating in this happy-making exercise. It's always so nice to have something to work on and look forward to in these sloppy, still-dark days of winter. The sad truth is that I'm super-easy and this exchange should be stress-free, so stay away from my do-not-wants and you should be grand.

I do not want..

first-person narration, incest, non-con, non-canon slash, child death or grievous injury, dog death, and misusing the words less and fewer.

I am a big fan of...

angst, UST, longing looks, long-repressed feelings that explode one day, kid fic, teamy goodness, well-done hurt/comfort, AUs, roads not taken in canon, zombies, wacky road trips, old friends, handsome strangers, ghost stories, crossovers, crazy decisions that are right even though they seem so very wrong, 2nd person narratives, porn that reveals more than just naked bodies, unreliable narrators, awesome ladies being awesome, found families, BFFs, opening your presents on Christmas Day rather than Christmas Eve, and long deep slow kisses that last three days. And, given the darkness of the days, let me tell you that I am super-down with getting porn right now.

Fargo - I just want to see Winnie and Gloria solving crimes and being awesome together. A crazy BFF adventure with Winnie and Gloria or the story of how Gloria helps Winnie after her husband finally knocks her up. Anything, really. Mix in a trope or two, if you want. I'm a big fan of natural or manmade disasters that make characters work together and question their priorities, Zombie Apocalypse AUs, and wacky road trips.

Happy Valley - Catherine is the kick-ass awesome woman of my dreams. She doesn't always get it right, but she tries so hard. She is the epitome of "be brave and be kind". Her relationship with Clare is so real to me - any slice of life fic there would be much appreciated. And I'd love to see a story where Catherine mentors and mothers Ann - where's the line between trying to make up for Kirsten? I also love the relationship with Joyce - they are clearly old friends who adore each other - stories from back in the day wouldn't go amiss! Back story, front story, contemporary story - I am happy with whatever as long as there is more Catherine.

Last Tango in Halifax – This show is my emotional happy place. Which is perhaps weird because I am so disappointed with the decisions made in Season 3 to kill Kate to bring the family back together. So ridiculous. So yeah, I ship Kate and Caroline like whoa and would love fix-it fic/AU where the senseless death does not happen. Basically, I love the people on this show and just want more of them interacting and being messy but loving and just trying to figure out life.

Cathy Jamison (The Big C)/Jax Teller (Sons of Anarchy) – I love both these shows, especially season 1 of each of them. I'd love to see a S1 Cathy “running away from home” and hooking up with Jax. I see her as just wanting freedom from her diagnosis and the desire to live a little and be a little wild before the world crashes down around her. Porn-y-ness super welcome here.

Catherine Cawood (Happy Valley) & Gloria Burgle (Fargo TV) - Catherine to the US to get training, where she meets Winnie Lopez and Gloria Burgle from Fargo and they start to investigate something suspicious at the hotel. Or something. I just want to see Catherine and Gloria being awesome together. 

Caroline McKenzie Dawson (Last Tango in Halifax) & Catherine Cawood (Happy Valley) - One of my greatest joys in life is reading fan fic that contains two characters that are played by the same actor. I especially love when everyone else remarks on the similarities but the characters themselves don't see it. I imagine these two characters traveling in the same circles and whether it's official police business or not, I'd like to see them get off on the wrong foot but come around to grudging respect for each other. (Perhaps Catherine has to arrest a pupil at Caroline's new school and Caroline protects the student the same way that she would've in the posh school.)

Oh good, welcome! It's a fun little exchange. Low-pressure. I like that the requests are all public so you can write stories as treats for people whom you weren't assigned to. I had a huge burst of creativity last year from this.

I had such a blast with Yuletide and the Leverage Exchange, I was thinking how I wish there was something similar I could do now post-festive season, and then I saw your post! Excellent timing, my dear :)
